Manage access to the module¶
The Inventory module opens no screen to anyone without a profile on it. The role of the organization administrator is therefore simple and unavoidable: give each colleague the profile matching their job.
Prerequisites¶
- Being the owner of the organization, or administering its members
- The Inventory module activated for the organization
- The Minlessika account of each colleague, already a member of the organization
Steps¶
1. Choose the right profile¶
The module publishes four recommended profiles. They cover the usual situations and spare you from assembling permissions one by one.
ADMINISTRATOR— Administrateur, an administrator profile with full access to the stocks module. It is the only one to change the settings, including the costing method.STOCKS_MANAGER— Gestionnaire de stock, a stock management profile with full operational access, excluding the settings of the module. It does everything of the daily work: items, warehouses, operation types, operations, inventories, partners — but it reads the settings without changing them.OPERATOR— Magasinier, a storekeeper profile in charge of operations, inventories and batches. It works on the ground: it creates and executes operations, counts inventories, enters the cost of batches, and views the rest without touching it.AUDITOR— Auditeur, an auditor profile with view-only access over the whole module. It sees everything, it writes nothing.
The profile labels are published in French only
The security catalog of the module carries a code and a French label for each profile, and no English label. The portal therefore displays Administrateur, Gestionnaire de stock, Magasinier and Auditeur, whatever the language of your interface. The codes above are the stable identifiers.
Recommended, not imposed
These four profiles are a proposal from the module. An organization with other needs composes its own profiles from the published permissions; the full list is in the permission reference.
2. Assign the profile in the portal¶
From the dashboard of your organization, click its name to open the menu, then Mes membres (My members). On the member concerned, activate the Stocks application and choose their Profil (Profile) among the four above. The colleague reaches the module as soon as you save.
The complete walk, from adding a member to their first login, is described in Invite users.
3. Check what the colleague sees¶
The profile decides not only what a user can do, but what they see. Menu entries and action buttons only appear to the profiles that carry them: an Auditeur has no Validate button, a Magasinier has no Convert button on the dashboard cards.
Without a profile, the door stays shut
A member to whom the Stocks application has not been opened lands on the Access denied screen: "Your profile gives you access to no screen of the stocks module. Ask your administrator to grant you a profile on this module." This is not a breakdown: it is a missing profile.
4. Review the assignments¶
A storekeeper promoted to manager, an external auditor whose mission ends: go back to Mes membres (My members) and change the profile, or remove the application. The change takes effect at the colleague's next login.
